I am a legally registered sole trader in Portugal, registered with the Portuguese Tax and Customs Authority (Autoridade Tributária e Aduaneira) since 23 February 2026, under NIF 272542520. My registered business activity is the retail of second-hand goods (CAE 47790), operating under the Simplified Tax Regime (Regime Simplificado) and VAT-exempt under Article 53 of the Portuguese VAT Code (CIVA).
I have been attempting to convert my existing Vinted account to a Vinted Pro account, as required by Vinted’s platform rules for professional sellers. However, the registration system repeatedly rejects my NIF (272542520), displaying an “invalid company registration number” error, preventing me from completing the process entirely.
I have tried entering my NIF both with and without the “PT” country prefix — neither works. I have contacted Vinted support multiple times over several weeks and have received no meaningful resolution. I have provided Vinted with my official Declaração de Início de Atividade as proof of my legitimate registration, but the issue remains unresolved.
My NIF is valid and my business is fully and legally registered in Portugal. There is no legitimate reason for Vinted’s system to reject it. As a result of this technical failure, I am being unlawfully prevented from operating my legally registered business on their platform. Vinted is my primary source of income and this situation is causing significant financial harm.
I am requesting that DECO intervene and require Vinted to resolve this issue immediately, either by fixing their registration system or by manually verifying and approving my account without further delay.
