I am writing to submit a formal complaint regarding an unauthorised automatic renewal charge of 69.99 EUR for eDreams Prime, which was processed via PayPal in January 5, 2026.
For clarity, I would like to outline the facts:
• I subscribed to eDreams Prime in 2024 in connection with a booking.
• Throughout the entire year of 2025, I did not use any Prime benefits or services.
• In January 5, 2026, the annual Prime fee of 69.99 EUR was charged without my awareness.
• I did not receive any clear, prominent, or effective reminder prior to this renewal.
• Upon discovering the charge, I immediately cancelled the Prime subscription and contacted your customer service to request a refund.
• My refund request was refused.
Given the above, I believe this charge constitutes an unfair commercial practice, particularly an automatic renewal without effective prior notification, which is not compliant with EU consumer protection principles regarding transparency and informed consent for recurring subscriptions.
I am therefore requesting:
• A full refund of 69.99 EUR, and
• Written confirmation that the Prime subscription has been fully cancelled.
