I am a Portuguese permanent resident filing a consumer complaint against TAP Air Portugal. TAP denied my service animal (assistance dog, SVAN) on booking ZHRCEW, flight TP1704 FNC/OPO, March 30, 2026, after I submitted documentation four separate times. TAP closed four cases (2026-0000304763, 2026-0000390532, 2026-0000508043, 2026-0000508077) without decisions. TAP then cancelled my flight and denied my service animal on the replacement itinerary, violating EC 261/2004 and EC 1107/2006. TAP had previously approved the same animal in writing under booking RID3PK on March 13, 2025. I am requesting DECO's intervention to compel TAP to issue written approval and provide the replacement flight with my service animal.
