I have been following a mobile device, Galaxy S24 Ultra 512/12 GB Titanium Grey version for a month on Worten everyday. The price had been 1299 Eur all the time and I was waiting for it to drop a little bit to be in the range my employer company requires. I even had added it to my cart and was just waiting to see just a little lower price in some time. I was waiting for the upcoming campaign.
Then worten brought in "DezContao" campaign on 5th of September, which claims to do this:
"+10% extra em talão
Campanha válida de 5 de setembro às 18h a 9 de setembro. Recebe 10% de desconto extra em talão, aplicado a cada produto da compra, e utiliza-o de 10 a 16 de setembro. O valor concedido em talão será creditado na conta online do cliente."
I immediately went to the website and checked the phone but what I saw was the new price of the device: 1449 Eur. So technically the price has increased by a little more than 10%.
On top of that, they do not even discount back 10%, they force you to spend the remaining 144.9 Eur in their store in the following week. In the end, instead of getting a lower price, you pay more to them under the name "desconto".
Currently the price of the 256GB version of the device is set to 1299 Eur instead of 512GB version.
I am writing this here for everyone to see how foxy Worten can get.
Disappointed.
