Problem with Mortgage Broker

I submitted paperwork and personal financial documents to Nuno Rodrigues (n.rodrigues@cafimo.pt) a mortgage broker with Cafimo (www.cafimo.pt), for him to find a mortgage for us. Documents were sent by email on May 22 and received/acknowledged on May 23. Since that time, I have sent emails and messages through WhatsApp to see what the status is. I have not received any replies. My concern is that he has all of our financial information and I don't know what he's done with it. He didn't even give me the courtesy of acknowledging my emails - not even to say he was still working on it or that he is no longer available or interested. I would like acknowledgement from him or his employer clarifying why things were never followed up on and what security they have for our information. It is very unsettling to have all our financial information in his possession without acknowledgement.
