I am an Erasmus student in Lisbon and I had a problem with my gym membership in Jaf Club Almada.
I started my membership in Jaf Club Almada in May. My plan was to use the gym in May and then cancel my membership since I am going to leave Portugal in June. So, I asked the receptionist how to cancel my membership, and they told me to send an email to them. So I did send an email asking them to cancel my membership for June.
Later, on 7th June, they withdrew money from my account although I asked them to cancel my membership. I emailed them telling them about the situation. They told me they sent me a confirmation email on the 20th of May about the cancellation, and since I did not answer, they did not cancel my membership. The problem is, I did not receive any email from them, not on 20th of May or any other day. I told them I did not receive any email and they told me they do not return money. Simply, they scammed me and stole my money. You can find the screenshots attached.
